In 2007 we launched Headshot London. In a few months that will be twenty years, and this new site is our fifth iteration of it since.
The first four iterations were about the same business getting a new look: new photography, a new layout, the occasional new gimmick. This one is different, because the business itself has moved.
Corporate photography is still where everything starts, and it always will be. But most of what’s kept us busy over the last year or two isn’t the shoot itself, it’s what happens after it. Augmented Imagery — a real photograph, developed further with retouching and AI, for the times a conventional shoot can’t get you where you need to be. AI corporate video, for onboarding, training and communications, built from the same photography rather than stock footage or an avatar. And a new client gallery, so the people in a shoot can find their own pictures, order a crop or a retouch, and download what they need without it all running through whoever organised the day.
None of it replaces the photography. It extends it, the same way retouching always has, just with more of it available and more of it useful.
Twenty years in, the new site is built to show where that’s got us rather than just describe it. Have a look around, and if you’re due a refresh yourself, get in touch.
